Coaching

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a collaboration between the coach and the client. It aims to identify your desires, goals and aspirations for change. The coach and client work together to establish a way forward.

Imagine that you are alone, holding a map to a mountain range where each peak represents a goal or change you would like to make. You can see the peaks ahead of you but you are unsure of how to make your way there or if you even have enough supplies to help you make the journey.

With me as your coach I’ll be right there with you, every step of the way. You decide when we set out, how fast we hike and in which direction. I can help you hold the map, count your supplies and resources with you, and remind you of how far you’ve already come. I will never take the map from you or march on ahead proclaiming I know the best way because I have never walked in your mountain range and I have never seen your map.

How do you coach?

I love to coach and experience a state of flow in coaching sessions, feeling truly aligned with my purpose and who I am. Therefore, who and how I am and how I coach are one and the same.

I am patient, warm and encouraging.

I bring with me an understanding that each person is unique with their own experiences, beliefs and values, remaining non-judgemental and completely impartial when yours differ from my own.

I love science and research and so I use evidence-based tools, my knowledge of behaviour change and Positive Psychology to ensure my clients have the best opportunity to achieve their goals.

Cultivating connection is important to me - I meet you on your level and commit to personalising your coaching experience.
